Nonstop

I am going to seriously be going nonstop this week! Today was super busy and tomorrow is going to be even crazier–I’ll be gone pretty much from 9am-10pm with just a few breaks in between. Yikes!

Breakfast

First of all THANK YOU to everyone who suggested I try melatonin–I LOVE IT! I took 2 tablets before bed last night (the bottle said to take between 1-3) and I slept like a baby for a glorious 8 hours. I woke up naturally and didn’t have that yucky grogginess that I get from tylenol pm. YAY! I had a fage, apple, fiber one mix for breakfast and caught up on some blogs. I love mornings because I’m up early enough that I can leisurely make my way into the day without being rushed.

Unfortunately my foot was feeling even worse today and it was miserable putting any pressure on it. As devastated as I was, I knew that I was going to have to miss out on yoga because I knew I would just be in pain the entire time and would not enjoy the practice at all. As an alternative I went to the gym and used the stationary bike because that is the one activity that doesn’t hurt.

Lunch

I had a fantastic peanut butter sandwich (warmed) and cottage cheese with kiwi. The cc/kiwi was a stellar combo—I loved it! And I almost always eat my pb sandwiches open-faced because then I can savor the pb amazing-ness for longer.

Snack

After lunch I headed over to the library for an eternity. When I got home I had an ak-mak cracker with hummus, trail mix and the rest of my tomatoes. I’ve been lacking in my veggies!

Dinner

Breakfast for dinner! Not nearly as good as my infamous omelets that I loved but it will suffice. Microwaved eggbeaters with spinach and cheese, ezekial, and carrots.

Dessert

By now you all know my obsession with chocolate covered pretzels so even though I had an awesome dessert waiting for me upstairs, I just couldn’t resist having a few during our event.

I’ve been really hungry all day and I had been looking forward to this Whole Foods Jumble cookie since I bought it. Even though I had already indulged tonight I decided to have it anyway. Boy am I glad I did! Words can’t even describe how fabulous this is–please promise me that next time you are at WF you will buy one of these. You will be eternally grateful.

Now it’s time to do some more homework and try to figure out how I’m possibly going to get from my spinning class at the gym which ends at 730 tomorrow night back home (15 min walk), eat dinner, shower and make myself pretty for another recruitment event that starts at 8. Any ideas? Haha.

Goodnight!

Delicious day!! Those pretzels and cookie look like amazing ways to top off the day 🙂

Glad you’re sleeping better, haha I’m probably gross, but tomorrow night I would probably just pull my hair pack, do a quick “washcloth” bath, and head to the house!

I’ll definitely have to consider the melatonin thing. I have trouble falling asleep when I’m stressed. Sounds pretty darn perfect for this time of year.

    That cookie… wowzers!

Good luck with the rush time between priorities tomorrow night. Is there any way you could make leave the class early? I’d consider jogging home to make it a little faster (you’ll already be sweaty anyway right? Haha), then quick in and out of the shower. Probably prep dinner beforehand too so you can just grab, chow down and go and if it’s something to be heated/reheated just heat while quick rinse showering.
    I’m sure you’ll do just fine 🙂

Speaking of warm PB sammies, I highly recommend grilled banana-PB sandwiches!

MMM, if that cookie is anything like the one I had on Sunday night, you made the right decision in eating it.

I’m glad the melatonin worked and also glad you can do the bike so you don’t feel too yucky…but darn it, your foot needs to get better!!!

Hope your day isn’t too crazy tomorrow!

Sarah, try to rest your foot. We are expecting 4-8 inches of snow today in Pittsburgh. Love you, Mom

Those pretzels look so cute! And I LOVE melatonin. I go back and forth between that and the harder stuff (the dreaded ambien) but melatonin doesn’t have as many side effects.

Just be quick in the shower and multi-task while you’re getting your makeup on. You don’t need to wear tons, just get the basics. Good luck with your busy week!

Hooray for the melatonin!! Glad to hear it worked 🙂

Fab eats, my dear! Glad you indulged in the WFs cookie – they are SO GOOD!

Sorry about the crazy schedule – maybe pack and eat? Sandwiches could be eaten while walking? I know it’s not as fun!

Ok, officially need to try melatonin!! Where did you find it?

Wow, I am in awe of your pretzels and cookie combo!! I solemnly swear to buy a jumble cookie if they have them next time I’m at Whole Foods 🙂

I hope your busy Tuesday went well!
