The End

As much as it pains me to do this—the time has unfortunately come where I have to bid adieu to my career as a food blogger. Now that school has picked up, activities have started, and I begin my internship tomorrow, I just won’t be able to devote much time to blogging. (For all of you that are active readers but don’t have your own blog—it’s a LOT more time consuming than you might think!)

I have genuinely loved blogging over the past few months and feel so fortunate to have “met” all of you! I can’t tell you how lucky I feel having developed some real friendships and how happy I was to read every single one of your comments each day. I know that I could continue blogging on a more part-time basis, but to be honest that just isn’t how I work. Maybe it’s one of my flaws—but I just can’t do something halfway. I put my heart into everything I do and just wouldn’t feel right blogging every once in a while. I’m an all-or-nothing kind of girl : ) I know that just over the past few months I would feel guilty if I missed a picture or delayed a post, and while I know that everyone would be completely understanding, I am (like always) my harshest critic and I just don’t need that added pressure on myself right now.

Now this is NOT to say that I have given up on the food-blogging community entirely! I will ABSOLUTELY still be reading and commenting on all of your lovely blogs as often as I can. I seriously admire everyone who has made blogging such a priority and works so hard at it everyday!

So in conclusion—thank you, thank you, thank you for all the support and encouragement you have given me over the past few months–my healthy lifestyle has definitely changed for the better because of you! I’ll miss you all but I look forward to hearing all about your lives and food through your blogs!

And so I leave you with one last photo:

    AWW NOOOOOO!!! 😦

Sorry, I don’t mean to make you feel bad, I’ll just miss you Sar!!! But I’m SO happy that you’re doing what is best FOR YOU! Please don’t cancel the blog though! I’ll surely be reading old posts (all the time, too!) for recipes and inspiration when I get into a food rut… Which is basically what I have been in recently… You have been such an inspiration and such a beautiful person to get to *know* and enjoy! So glad we’re friends via the face, though! Hopefully we can unite soon! 🙂

All my love and best to you! XO

Sarah, I totally understand the need to take a step back – blogging is SO much harder than it looks, especially when you have the added pressures from school, internships and other activities. And of course, it’s SENIOR YEAR – WOOHOO! 😉 Live it up, chica.

I totally respect your decision, and although I will miss you as a fellow food blogger DEARLY, I know that I have made a real friend and that this is not technically “the end” – especially if we’re thinkin’ San Fran or Seattle ’09, baby! Haha 🙂 We’ll see, we’ll see…

And congrats one more time on that job offer! You rock the house!!!

Such sad news! Good luck with everything, and you definitely need to focus on some important things right now. I am so glad to have gotten the chance to “meet” you through the community and I hope that you do not become a stranger!

Awesome final picture though, so delicious! 😉

Aww, this is sad news Sarah! But probably the best decision for you, balancing school and life in general is tough enough without the commits of a food blog. I’ve really enjoyed reading yours though!

Best of luck with school and everything else in between! 🙂

Aw, I am so sad that I won’t get to read your lovely posts any more. But taking care of yourself is so much more important than gratifying our desire for witty writing and pretty photos. Please do stick around and comment. We’ll miss you!

Aw, this is so sad. Your blog is great and I love seeing all your awesome food ideas. Best of luck in everything!

Actually, I just came over here from your comment on Jenn’s (Eating Bender) blog, and saw that you said you missed blogging and might start up again. That would be awesome. But only do it if you feel like you can manage it again and it wouldn’t be a burden. Maybe start small and post one meal a day and then once things get settled you can see if you would be up for posting all your meals. Just a thought, but do whatever works best for you.

    Again, good luck with everything!

Ohhhh 😦 I’m so sad that the day has finally come. Your blog has always been one of my favorites! However, as I’ve said before, I completely understand where you’re coming from and I think you’ve made the right and mature decision. You’ll be missed! Good luck with everything you do in the future, you are certainly going to be something great 🙂
