Sweet Treats

After my frazzled dinner experience I got the most intense craving for a diet root beer. Like if I didn’t have one I didn’t know what would happen. Now we had no pop at all in the house and diet tonic water just wasn’t going to cut it. So I got in my car and drove over to Walgreens and loaded up on lots of diet drinks for when the craving hits again. I hate that I enjoy diet drinks so much because all the chemicals and fake stuff in them are not the best for my body, but I can’t help it. I’ve tried quitting but I just can’t do it. That along with devouring packs of sugar-free gum like it’s going out of style are 2 of my worst eating habits. Oh well, nobody is perfect.

After I savored my glorious root beer I knew it was time for some dessert. I had a Smart One’s Mocha Sundae.

These things are seriously so good. They don’t taste “diet-y” at all and are really indulgent. And it’s the perfect amount to satisfy a sweet tooth without overdoing it. Alongside my sundae I had some delectable cherries (i picked up more at the grocery store today—i’m officially addicted!) and to be honest with you, I think I enjoyed the cherries even more than the ice cream! Best food ever!

Aw, it’s ok – I bought a new hot chocolate trying to get away from the one with sucralose, but the taste just isn’t the same! I keep switching back and forth, hoping that soon they will be unrecognizable. So far, no luck!

Hurray for cherries and ice cream! You’re right, those cherries really do rival the ice cream in goodness 🙂
